Isolation is a Self-Defeating Dream.

For those of us who speak, write, counsel, educate or otherwise advocate for those who have been or are being exploited, or are otherwise undergoing serious trauma or aftermath, we can talk all day about their condition and circumstances. But sometimes–er, perhaps the vast majority of the time–we need to sit down, shut up, and just listen to them for ourselves. It will only be then that we can truly develop genuine compassion and authentic response, and when in faith, have the healing ointment of GodĀ upon our words and reach to offer someone who has been broken…
