Partnership with a Significant Other in Him

It’s amazing how God is always our source, our love, our provider, but He has very particular ways He chooses to manifest this. For singles, so much of this can be very directly from Him, although some have the blessing of this being spread out significantly through family, friends and other circumstances. But He is always the One to be thanked, for it is of Him.

As He brings two people together, knitting their lives as one in a way they have never experienced, that direct source that those two people experienced as singles, being fed directly from Him through their faith, into their own hearts and souls, now becomes a shared direct source, or line, through each other. So, the two are still being directly fed, as they were during their single years, but because they are now one, that direct feed includes what comes through their spouse. So in that way, as God has designed, they need one another. God will directly feed the hungry soul who pursues the banqueting table, but part of that direct feed, that line, comes from their spouse’s relationship with God.

It’s an amazing thing, a unique thing, very exciting, perhaps a little intimidating, but incredible, awesome…and so powerful. For synergy is the operative principle in this dimension, this place, this life. Synergy…the place where one plus one no longer equals two, but rather three…or, perhaps ten. For, one chases a thousand…and two put ten thousand to flight. The power and impact, the intimacy and energy is multiplied when two people walk with God together. What a miracle…what a plan, that God formed man and woman for this purpose, to be one tabernacle together unto Him.
It is not good that man should be alone. Two are better than one…and a threefold cord is not easily broken.
